Improv & the Innovative Leader with Dr. Terry Noel
Terry will lead us through a workshop that uses the foundations of improv to bring out the creative and innovative leader in each of us. Using these improv foundations, we’ll learn about the inner critic in each of us and how we stifle our own creativity. We’ll learn how to REALLY listen to others and that we might not be listening even when we think we are. We’ll discuss how to link what we know with what we don’t know in order to build connections and bridges with others. Improv & the Innovative Leader is a fun, interactive workshop with will improve how you interact with and lead colleagues at work, your fellow members in the Jaycees and your peers in your community.
Terry W. Noel is Associate Professor of Management and Quantitative Methods at Illinois State University. He is also Associate Director of the George R. and Martha Means Center for Entrepreneurial Studies and Assistant Chair of the Management and Quantitative Methods Department in the College of Business. Terry often speaks to groups on the topics of motivation and creativity. He is author of the book Empty Nest Egg: Why You Must Start Your Own Business NOW and The Vigil, both available on amazon.com. Terry performs weekly with Improv Attack!, an improvisational theater troupe in Bloomington/Normal, IL.
