Jaycee 90th Anniversary

This year, the US Jaycees is celebrating its 90^th anniversary in 2010. The United States Junior Chamber of Commerce (USJCC) was formed on January 21, 1920 in St. Louis, Missouri, with 3,000 members.

90th Anniversary

The Jaycees continue to provide opportunities for young people to develop personal and leadership skills through service to others which is part of the original vision of Jaycees founder Henry "Hy" Giessenbier. In the act of serving, members receive hands-on experience, which translates to the enhancement of personal growth and the development of valuable leadership skills.

The Jaycees has been a force for good in America and around the world. Jaycees helped establish AirMail services with Jaycee Charles A. Lindbergh. Jaycees have raised millions of dollars for causes such as the American Cancer Society Relay for Life, Muscular Dystrophy Association, and March of Dimes. The Jaycees have built parks, playgrounds, hospitals, run community festivals, donated monies to local charities and conducting support programs in local communities.
